Anniversary Trip



Great location and beautiful setting. Spent 3 days at the lodge and went cross country skiing and the amazing Sovereign Lake facility (best nordic skiing of the year for us) and certainly a place to check out if you like nordic skiing. Breakfasts at the lodge powered us for the days activities. Will go back!

Our stay at Spirit Lodge was fantastic. Yvonne was so helpful and welcoming we couldn't have wished for a more relaxing stay. The breakfast was amazing and all the facilities were excellent. We'd highly recommend a relaxing break at Spirit Lodge.

The breakfast was amazing! Yvonne really puts a lot into giving her guests an incredible experience. The location was perfect! Only a short drive to the ski hill and into Vernon.




Unfortunately she wouldn't let me take her Golden Retriever, Autumn, home with me...lol

Great stay! Yvonne was a very attentive host and went above and beyond to help make our stay great. Spirit Lodge is an incredible 8300 sq foot log cabin nestled in the woods, only a 12 minute drive from Silverstar mountain. From the delicious homemade breakfast to the relaxing large hot tub with beautiful views, Spirit Lodge has everything you need to relax and unwind. I highly recommend checking it out.

Wonderful mountain getaway



Spirit Lodge was the perfect getaway for the two of us. The accommodation was warm cosy with lots of privacy. The host goes beyond expectations to ensure guests are satisfied. Breakfast was delicious and the hot tub view was ideal for sunsets.

A Perfect Mountain Getaway
We just spent two unforgettable nights at Spirit Lodge and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. The lodge is a stunning log home on 10 peaceful acres, offering breathtaking views of Vernon, the valley, and Kalamalka Lake. It feels wonderfully secluded yet is just a short drive to town and Silver Star Resort.

The house is warm and inviting, with a massive stone fireplace in the Great Room, cozy seating, a pool table, and a separate TV room. We loved having so much space to relax. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with beautiful wood furniture and heated floors—such a treat after a day in the cold.

Breakfast was a highlight each morning. On our first day, we had incredible Belgian waffles, and on the second, a perfectly cooked omelet. Everything was homemade, fresh, and absolutely delicious. I was thrilled that Yvonne shared her Hummingbird muffin recipe! After skiing at Silver Star, unwinding in the hot tub with mountain views was the perfect way to end the day.

What truly made our stay special was the hospitality. Yvonne and her brother Robert were such kind and welcoming hosts—helpful, funny, and a pleasure to be around. Their golden retriever, Autumn, was an absolute sweetheart, and the lodge is filled with beautiful First Nations artwork that adds so much character and warmth.

Between playing pool in the evenings, enjoying incredible food, and taking in the spectacular views, our stay at Spirit Lodge was nothing short of wonderful. If you’re looking for a peaceful, welcoming place near Silver Star, we highly recommend it. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

Increadibly beautiful lodge, spacious, made of logs



Third stay and still as warm, it is a must in the region. A real haven of peace, calm with a breathtaking view over the valley.
This lodge is incredibly beautiful, spacious, made of logs.
The rooms are so beautiful and comfortable, the sheets are so soft in microfibers, we slept so well. The outdoor jacuzzi is a real plus especially after a day of skiing at Silverstar.
Yvonne is an incredible host, she concocted us delicious homemade breakfasts with fresh products.
We will certainly come back.

My friend Cheryl and I had a wonderful stay at Yvonne's lodge while enjoying 2 days of snowshoeing at the Silverstar Mountain Resort. What a stunning property! Super excited that I stumbled upon the lodge while researching accommodation choices for us.

The room was perfect for the both of us - spacious, clean, quiet and having heated floors made it extra special too. :0) We loved that we could bring our own food and utilize the plates / cutlery from the lodge and enjoy our meal in the common area while admiring the beautiful views. The hot tub was a major bonus to soothe our aching muscles after snowshoeing while again enjoying the beautiful views. Oh yes! The towel warmers - sweet! Definitely loved that. After a great night sleep, we enjoyed a fantastic breakfast prepared by Yvonne. Holy smokes! It was definitely a hearty breakfast and a perfect filler upper before heading back out to the mountain.

The best part about Yvonne's lodge are Yvonne, Robert and her wonderful house dog Autumn. Yvonne and Robert made us feel so welcome, never hesitated to lend a hand when needed. They are both full of heart and of course Autumn is just full of love. You came as guests but left as friends. That is very hard to come by these days when travelling.

We both definitely want to come back as Spirit Lodge left a lasting impression on us both. Yvonne, Robert - we thank you both so much for a wonderful stay!

What a lovely spot!

We loved our stay at Yvonne's beautiful Lodge. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed and felt right at home. It was our anniversary and we were gifted a beautiful bottle of wine to enjoy with our dinner. We ordered dinner to be delivered from a nearby restaurant and it was delicious. The Lodge is stunning, our room was so cosy, super comfortable bed and everything we needed was in our room. The hot tub was perfect after a long day travelling. Breakfast was so good. I struggled to eat it all, Yvonne was kind enough to give me the muffins to take for our roadtrip. Yvonne's brother, Robert...helped with our car in the morning as we needed fluid for the windscreen wipers. Thanks guys, we loved our stay, we just wish it was longer.

The room was spacious and the bed was lovely! The host was very gracious, friendly and helpful. The view was beautiful and I enjoyed the hot tub. I would definitely recommend staying there

Winter Holidays at its best



Simply said, Yvonne has been an extraordinary kind, caring and warm host who managed to make us feel home away from home.
A beautiful log home, with superb views and located just perfectly: 10-15 minutes away either from downtown Vernon or the Silverstar Ski Resort.
Breakfast was homemade and just delicious (Eggs Benny aka Egg Silverstar 🫶🏼).
Lots of amenities and stuff to do like Billard, Hot Tub, Movie room, if you just wanna stay in, which technically has been part of our very own enjoyment while staying there: just staying in and enjoying the home!
We (wife and I) highly recommend staying at Yvonne‘s and will def. book again next time we‘ll be in the area. Thanks again, Yvonne 🩷

WinterBirthday Getaway.



We had the Lair room and it was very spacious. The bed was comfy. We had access to the outside patio from our room which we liked. Very beautiful log home with nice amenities. Hot tub, Pool table and 75 inch TV were fun. Breakfast was tasty. Host was delightful. We will book there again.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Spirit Lodge. And it never disappoints. Its a great location, the rooms are awesome and the rest of the House is everything you want for a staycation plus the Hot Tub and pool table, and the Breakfast is so tasty you never leave hungry. The Hostess Yvonne is beyond accommodating and such a lovely lady. Will definitely be returning again in the future.

 

 

We had an incredible experience and received a very warm welcome in a cozy, clean, and beautiful place. The Spirit Lodge is somewhere we would definitely visit again. Also, the breakfast was delicious, and they adapted the menu to accommodate our dairy-free option. Excellent!
